Gillian:- We had a great walk despite gale force winds, which nearly blew us over at times, especially in the afternoon when we were on the South Downs ridge. However, apart from the squally showers when we set off, we remained dry all day. It was certainly a memorable walk because of the weather and we all felt we had earned our afternoon tea in Alfriston when we finished at 3.30 p.m.
David W:- Had you taken today's photographs at the end of the walk they would have shown some very windswept people!
