Chris:- A great day for walking across the Weald with some very "undulating" countryside.

Setting off from Stonegate Station down across the Rother Valley and up to Burwash ridge then passing Rudyard Kiplings old home, Batemans.

Through Dallington Forest and on past Brightling to our lunch stop at Woods Corner. After lunch we gained the 1066 Country Trail which we followed back to Battle.

Great views with close-in sights of a number of Fullers Follies.
