Chris:- Our walk from Burwash Common on January 15th attracted a very good group of 24.
Setting off in hazy weather, the Dudwell Valley was shrouded in early morning mist. After walking through a section of Dallington Forest, on gaining higher ground, we saw the Obelisk at Brightling bathed in sunshine. Continued on past Batemans, the home of Rudyard Kipling, to a well earned lunch break in Burwash. Our return via various well worn tracks and paths through another part of Dallington Forest certainly tested the water and mud resisting capabilities of our footwear!.
